Booking Policy

General:  Festival Recording Studios is a professional recording studio.  You are purchasing a specific time segment at our facilities and guarantee you will be on time and prepared.   We do not take a percentage of your songs/works. We do not make money from music publishing etc. We make money from customers purchasing studio time and not changing their schedule.  As a general rule, you the client must be present for all sessions.  Due to the inherent problems of the ADAT format, we recommend using other multi-track formats.  Therefore, we are not responsible for damaged ADAT tapes.  Our engineers are not your producer.   It is your responsibility to approve all material before the end of each session.  This can be done verbally or by listening to your session CD in your vehicle or the studio lounge.  We strongly advise making back-up copies of all material after each session.  The Studio is not responsible for tapes, media, computer files or other articles left in the studio.    

Securing Time:  To secure your time, a two hour minimum pre-payment for recording time per session date is required.  This is to be paid when you book your session.  Block and day rates require full payment in advance. No Refunds. Once your account has been credited, you must use the time.  

Scheduling Time:  Session times begin at the time you have scheduled.  If you arrive late you will be charged from the time the session was scheduled to begin. Hourly and Block times will be strictly adhered to.  You must use at least ¾ of time you have booked or you will be charged for the total booked time. Block times of 10 hours are considered a Day Rate and are scheduled during the course of a 24-hour period.  Any time over the 10-hour block time or day rate will be charged at the normal hourly rate for that particular room. 25-hour block times may be used at the discretion of the client depending on studio availability in blocks no longer than 10 hours.  Time in excess of the scheduled time will be charged at the normal hourly rate for that particular room. 

Canceling Time/No Show: You must give at least a FULL 48-hour notice if you wish to cancel a session.   If you call to cancel less than 48 hours before your session begins you will be charged for (2) two hours. Subsequent failures to call within the 48 hour period will require us to charge you for the full amount of the time scheduled for that session and will require you to pay in full for any sessions thereafter. 

Account Balance/Late Fees: Your account is to be paid in full before each session.  Tapes, discs, computer files or other media will not be released to you and will remain the property of Festival Recording Studios until your account is paid in full.  You will be charged a $25.00 service fee if your account is not paid in full by the completion of each session.  You will also be responsible for all legal, attorney and collection fees, if required for payment.  If account is not paid in full, immediate collection and legal action will commence.  You will also accrue a 1.5% interest charge per month until it is paid in full. 

Guests: In order to maintain a creative and safe atmosphere in the studio and other areas, only persons directly involved in your session are allowed in the control rooms and isolation rooms.  All others are requested to stay in the lobby or in the lounge areas only.  If there are 7 or more people associated with you who are on the premises at any one time during your session, we are required by studio policy to hire an assistant engineer.  You will be charged an additional $20.00 per hour for this engineer. 

Housekeeping:  All trash from food and drinks left by you and your party or group are to be removed by you at the end of your session.  A $20.00 to $50.00 cleaning charge will be assessed if studio personnel must clean up after you after your session.  Damages to studio property of any kind that are a result of anyone in your party or group will be assessed to your account.   Costs will be assessed for damage or breakage to headphones.

Any exceptions to these policies must be made in advance and in writing.
